The
house is about 500 yards from the forest of
PALLEAU and 1000 yards from the quiet banks of
the river Saône, in the village of Ecuelles. You
can walk as far as the sluice.
All the
shops, restaurants, swimming-pool and tennis
courts are to be found in the small town of
VERDUN/DOUBS, 4 miles away or in SEURRE (7 miles).
You can either enjoy the charming countryside or
visit BEAUNE and the famous Hôtel-Dieu (about 12
miles) or drive along the « Route des vins », in
the heart of the vineyard or even have a walk in
the old city-centre of CHALON/SAONE (20 miles).
